Dr. Erica Ogwumike is a dermatology resident physician and 2021 Olympian whose journey reflects a dynamic blend of academic excellence, elite athletics, and creative storytelling. A proud Houston native, Dr. Erica was an All-American and standout student-athlete at Rice University, where she graduated in 2020 and began her content creation journey.

From being selected as the 26th pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft, to competing on the global stage at the Tokyo Olympics, and earning her medical degree in 2024, she has shared her inspiring path every step of the way—hoping to motivate the next generation to pursue their passions unapologetically.

Now as a dermatology resident physician, Dr. Erica creates content around skincare and beauty, fitness and wellness, and the realities of work-life balance as a Gen Z doctor. Her content offers a real and relatable look into life in medicine while staying true to who she is.
